Created by Dave Pape
Crayoland is an interactive virtual environment created for the CAVE

Controls:

The joystick will navigate you through the space.
by placing the wand in a flower and pressing button 1 you can pick flowers. You can startle the bees by hitting the hive with the wand

Installing:
Once the tar file is unpacked, you may need to change the configuration files to point to the correct directories. Edit the 'dir' line in Cray.config to point to the 'data' directory - the one containing 'World' & 'Sounds'. Edit the 'dir' line to point to the directory on the sound server machine containing the aiff files (those in data/audio); the aiff files should preferably be on a local disk on the sound server. If sound is not going to be used, remove the 'sound' line from Cray.config.

Running:
Start vss on the sound server machine. cd to this directory (the one containing Cray.config) and run 'cave'.

Configuring:
Cray.config contains pointers to the world description files. Individual options are given on separate lines; lines beginning with a '#' are ignored. The options which can be given are:

    dir [directory]
Crayoland will cd to [directory] before reading the data files.

    world [world-file]
Specifies the name of the description file containing the list of objects in the world.

    sound [sound-file]
Specifies the file describing the sounds in the world.

    hand [open-hand.obj] [closed-hand.obj]
Specifies two Wavefront obj files to draw at the position of the wand. The open hand is drawn when not grabbing (button 1 is released); the closed hand is drawn when grabbing (button 1 is pressed).

    texture
If this line appears in the config file, texture mapping will be enabled. Without texture mapping, all objects appear as plain squares (useful mainly for debugging).
